Look what's hanging around in this heat!

The yellow hibiscus is magnificent!

Once the Turk's cap starts blooming....here come the hummingbirds

There is something about the sunflower that just makes me smile

Society garlic loves to mingle

The red hibiscus is in full glory!

Everyone needs some Northern Sea Oats in their shady areas
Here comes the Mexican Petunia

My Gomphrena is a happy camper here

This year I will overwinter my Abutilon inside

Esperanza is a spectacular sight to see

This cypress vine is a welcome uninvited guest

Boom boom pow.....have a cigar....plant

More of my flowering maple (Abutilon)

First year for caladiums....I am certainly enjoying them.
Even when it is hot, I can sit inside and view my
paradise through my window!

This is a gnomal day in my garden

There is always magic in your garden if you take time to look. Gnormally I am so rushed and busy I might miss what is really going on....but today it was so beautiful, I just took some time to look around.

You must pay attention and look carefully or you might miss something
The birds singing, the breeze blowing through the trees and chimes....and possibly a flute or pennywhistle
Dodo's really do exist, but seem to be quite shy and sleepy
Rocks keep popping up in unexpected places, and now I know why
This lovely lady is in her element
There is always someone around to take care of the birds even if I forget to put out seed
This is the director of all garden events. He knows it all
A show is twice as good if it has an audience
After all the work is done it is time for a little R & R
Wisdom willingly wanders with wonder and wistfulness
Open your eyes to the magic that is all around you

Garden Geek

Thanks for taking a walk with me through my garden today!
I did not plant these but I like them just fine here.
The butterflys love lantana also
The butterfly weed will hopefully do it's job and bring me lots of pretty creatures
Goldenrod stands up for it's name
I love this little flower, Gomphrena....the red is a little harder to find at nurserys.
The Mexican Hat is settling in nicely in places it chooses on its own
Meet "Joey" Ptilotus exaltatus the newest addition to our garden family
This is a special delight.....bee balm.....it has a most wonderful aroma also
Can you smell the anise hyssop from where you are?
I grow passionvine everywhere so that I can feed these wonderful soon to be butterflys
"Stella de Oro" daylily will continue to make her statement as a lovely lady
My Echinacea is starting to venture out beyond it's bed....I'm finding it all over!
Zexmenia loves the Texas heat!
Pavonia, Rockrose, loves being next to the lantana
Hypericum -Saint John's wort has such a sunny disposition
I love the way the flowers on the bulbine look. What a fascinating plant
I try to just sit and enjoy it, but I always have to stop and get my hands dirty
Such a full range of colors, textures and smells

I am definitely a geek when it comes to gardening. If I could put my tools in a pocketprotector in my pocket, I most certainly would. Today was a beautiful day....perfect weather, sunlight, and color. Just want to share a bit of my morning with you. Sit back and enjoy the garden candy!
